Fulbright Scholar and early modern literary scholar whose research examines the construction of racial and religious identity in Shakespeare and his contemporaries.

His current work focuses on how Elizabethan theatrical practice drew on converging stereotypes of Moorish and Jewish identity to construct figures of otherness, with particular attention to the cultural anxieties of sixteenth-century England. He holds an MFA in Creative Writing from Northern Michigan University and a BA in Anthropology from St. Lawrence University.

He has presented his research at NeMLA, March 2026.
